I woke up to a familiar sound, it was the campaign screen of my favorite game. I had fallen asleep while playing again. but something was off, as I started to try and concentrate, I starrted to hear an extremely faint buzz. Ignoring it, I looked at the screen.

Nighthawk: Aki, you there?
Nighthawk: It's time for school, you're gonna be late again
Nighthawk: Whatever, good luck catching the bus

N-Ma LOGGED IN

N-Ma: Hey Loverboy, I'm not goin to school today, Sorry bout the project, you'll have to sneak your way out of that one
N-Ma: Can you tell Miki I'M sorry about our date?
N-Ma: Thanks, cya


N-Ma Logged Out

    What? These are the same exact logs from yesterday morning, but where are the rest of the logs, Can it be? Had my wish come true? No, It can't be.
    Getting out of my bed, I started to trip before stopping myself. There was a foreign object on the floor, it was a weird button, white, with not a single tint anywhere on it. When I pressed it, nothing happened. Throwing it on my bed, I grab my backpack and dash out of the house.
    If today is the same day, then there are no buses. Instead of wasting my time waiting at the bus stop, I ran straight to school, where I had enough time t drop off my project, so that I wouldn't lose it in the hall. "Mr. Akiyama, what are you doing here befre your period?" "I just wanted to drop my project off here" I handed it to him, on;y to earn a dissaproving sigh. "Aren't you partners with Mr. Yamada?"
    "Yeah, why?" "You need his signature on it for me to count it, and since he isn't here, I'll have to call home and tell your parents you weren't responsible enough to get his signature." Leaving it on his desk, I walk out without a word.
    Unsurprisingly, the rest of the day goes on the same.
    When I return home, I get scolded and run off to my room. Today, instead of logging on, I lurk on the chat logs, and start to fiddle with the mystery button. after about an hour, at 5 O'Clock, thearea around the button part of the device turns to a glowing tint of orange. I try pressing it again, and my life is gone with a flash.


    Again, I'm awoken by the noise of the campaign screen. Same chat logs, same everything, before I even step out of my bed, I look at the floor next to it, and it's there. The mystery button. The only difference is that now the orange is still around the button.
    I step out of my bed, pick up the button, and I decide to test a theory out. Today I'm not going to school. I'm going to pay a visit to Masaki, maybe he can help me out.

    After running out of the house, and straight to Masaki's house, I'm greeted at his door by his little sister, my crush, Amaterasu. "Oh hey Aki, what're you doing here so early?" "Oh, hey Ame, I need to talk to Masaki, is he here?" "Yeah, come in, I have to leave for school though, so lock the door on your way out, Masaki won't. because he's to lazy." When she walks out, Masaki jumps in front of me, blocking the door. "That went well, didn't it loverboy?" "Shut up, this is important" moving his arm, I walk through his hall into his room. "Oh, you finally taking my advice and ditching? Good for you."
    "I need your help" "Eh? with what?" I pull out te button from my jacket pocket. "this button made me live today two times before 'today'" "what are you going on about?"
    "I think I found a real Life Reset Button"
    "Huh? I don't believe you" "I can prove it, later today, the bus you ride will get into a crash." At that moment, the tv that had been on in his kitchen delivered the same news.
    "Come in"

    We spent the day thinking of what it was, and why it was in my room. As I had expected from him, he gave no relevant ideas.
    Walking out of the house, I tripped on his doorway, and fell on the sidewalk, giving myself a scrape on my elbow.
    I had also inadvertantly triggered the button again.
